PA overseas

Much, much smaller than La Marseillaise, was this annual 3-day market tournament in Asten, in the southern part of Holland. But international all the same, since plenty of Belgians and Germans drove across the border to participate. Friday night 46 singles, Saturday 90 doubles and Sunday 35 triplets.
One team was proudly wearing our colors: Fred & Henk, visiting from PC Venlo, and regular guests in Asten.

These weekend marketplace tournaments are a dream: local merchants pitch in with prizes. Food & drinks are plentiful, families & friends stop by to watch and new friendships are made. A weekend long petanque festival. And after 5 years the club has the set up of the sand down to a tee.
