The folks at SFPC always eat well, thanks to an array of members who are chefs, active or retired.
Among them Jean Vergnes, at one time chef and co-owner of Le Cirque, New York's landmark restaurant. Incidentally he participated in the creation of "pasta primavera". Here's the recipe.
Jean has been happily married - for 48 years - to Pauline, one of the 'live wires' at the club, always ready for a joke.
